About the position Responsibilities • Participate in projects related to 5G technology and network performance optimization. • Engage in radio frequency design and management tasks. • Work with Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN). • Utilize business analytics and programming skills in Java and Python. • Conduct data warehousing tasks using SQL and database query tools. • Collaborate with team members using tools like Grafana and GitHub. Requirements • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Data Science, or related fields. • Good academic standing with a completion date between December 2026 and June 2028. • Ability to participate in a hybrid 10-week internship from June 2, 2025, to August 8, 2025. • Confirmed attendance at the Women of Color STEM DTX Conference from October 3-5, 2025. • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship. • Coursework or demonstrated experience in waveforms and radio frequency spectrum. Nice-to-haves • Demonstrated strong written and communication skills. • Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite. • Knowledge of filters and signal modulation. • Understanding of WIFI, wireless, or modern communication networks. • Knowledge of radio signal propagation and electromagnetics.
