Fractional Controller - Remote, Part-Time

Charles River CFO, Inc. is searching for a Fractional Controller located in or near Boston, MA . The ideal candidate will be a CPA, and be available to start immediately at a part-time capacity of 0-20 hours per week. Location: (Required): Boston, MA Work Setting: Remote Anticipated Start Date: Week of March 24, 2025 The Controller will oversee AR, AP and General Accounting. Immediate need to assist VP Finance with year-end bonuses, growth strategies and day-to-day accounting. Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Background in Life Sciences and in the Public Sector CPA required. Familiar with SEC Reporting Minimum of 10 years’ of experience in Finance/Accounting Proficient with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of Excel Experience in QuickBooks is required and a variety of systems is preferred Tech-Savvy, comfortable learning new cloud tools Experience using payroll, expense reimbursement and bill pay systems Understanding of GAAP accounting Working knowledge of tax filings such as 1099s and sales tax forms Excellent communication skills Detail oriented and highly organized Commitment to providing excellent client service Ability to analyze complex situations, identify critical issues, and solve problems Compensation for this role is $65-$75 hourly Join Us Charles River CFO, Inc. is an FAO firm serving companies in the life sciences, high technology, manufacturing, professional services, and nonprofit industries.
