Financial Analyst, Associate (Hybrid Remote)

About the position The Financial Analyst, Associate position at UPMC Corporate Finance is a full-time role focused on documenting and analyzing financial projects. This hybrid remote position allows for a flexible work schedule, with three days working from home and two days in the office. The role is essential in providing insights and support to the finance team, contributing to the financial future of the organization. Responsibilities • Complete quarterly and annual statutory filings for external regulators, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. , • Prepare separate audited financial statements for each regulated company, maintaining high standards of financial reporting. , • Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reported in various financial systems. , • Review costs and conduct cost-benefit analysis related to projects and programs. , • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. , • Assist in analyzing financial data, extracting and defining relevant information to interpret past financial performance and project future financial probabilities. , • Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis. , • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required. , • High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience accepted. , • Proficiency in Microsoft Office spreadsheet applications and PeopleSoft General Ledger preferred.
