Job Description
This role is responsible for the organization’s daily travel ticketing, airline booking, reservations, finance (AR/AP), and travel coordination. This includes developing protocols and safety standards to ensure smooth operations for travelers using finance and resource management. They must be ARC/IATA certified and have advanced knowledge of airline ticketing and setting up a travel agency.
He/She must be resourceful with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. He/She is able to manage good working relationships with vendors… and manages any issues with them. He/She works well with a team and works closely with internal C-level stakeholders to provide feedback on products and services. He/She provides strategic guidance on the plans covering all ticketing/booking aspects. Startup/technology experience is preferred but not necessary.
Deliverables
– Manage all ticketing and rebooking on product app and website via GDS (Travelport – Galileo, Amadeus)
– Establish travel booking and ticketing processes in line with organizations strategies
– Liaising with all airlines and GDS platforms
– Conduct GDS testing to ensure accuracy and functionality of our travel technology solutions
– Manage technical aspects of the travel application and troubleshooting to implement necessary updates
– Collaborate with European stakeholders to gather requirements for regional activities and compliance
– Facilitate the setup of IATA licenses and maintain compliance with relevant regulations
– Provide insights and recommendations on how to improve collaboration with (TMCs) to enhance services and market presence
– Serve as a key point of contact for technical and support related enquiries to product and services
– Scope out product development status – assessing features, identifying gaps, and roadmap initiatives
– Experience with OTA and fare rules automation
– Lead departments budgeting process
– Manage customs clearance at airport for air freight in different countries
– Facilitate financial reconciliation with airlines – new tickets, refunds, BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan)
– Build partnerships with airlines, online OTA, and airports
– Track results
– Lead development and improvement of rebooking flights and traveling experience
– Lead technology application for improvements to productivity and innovation
– Provide feedback to internal stakeholders on product and service offerings
– Attend daily stand-up calls
