Role Snapshot: Company: Workwarp Compensation: a competitive salary Position: Tax Associates - Up To Hourly $44 Start Date: Immediate openings available Location: Remote   Our company in partnership with a multi-million business software corporation, is currently hiring TAX ASSOCIATES / TAX PREPARER for this Tax Season. This is a four (4) month contract (January-April) with possible extension, fully remote with flexible self scheduled hours (10-40hrs per week) and must be based in the US. Responsibilities... This is a virtual, customer-facing role; you will be using our state-of-the-art video communications software (Smartlook) to interact with customers. • Help customers who are working on their tax returns or have delegated their tax returns with: • Tax advice • Full-service return preparation and signature • Product/software inquiries • Tax calculations • Create high-quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and your deep (extensive) knowledge and expertise in the field of tax preparation. • Utilize and leverage government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to the customer using everyday language. • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and preparation inquiries. • Document customer interactions • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed. Qualifications · Minimum 3 seasons of paid Tax Preparation Experience, with a minimum of 30 returns per season (preferred) · Prior tax preparation experience in a tax firm or retail setting required · Must have PTIN or willing to register for one · Knowledge of tax laws, tax concepts and familiarity with form 1040 and schedules · Ability to work within a team to assist in preparation of accurate tax returns in a timely manner · Strong Research skills and the ability to quickly use online resources to find answers · Willingness to utilize audio/visual tools to communicate with customers · Comfortable interacting with customers through video, in a professional way · Ability/motivation to expand expertise and obtain a tax credential or certification - Our client offers a program to obtain your EA license.
