Redwire Space, has a current opportunity for a part-time Staff Accountant who will be responsible for providing daily & administrative support to the Manager of Accounting operations, including daily entry into the accounting system. Requires an attention to detail and solid analytical, organizational and communication abilities. Responsibilities: Prepares general ledger entries as needed and reconciles all balance sheet accounts. Performs month-end close functions including preparing and/or reviewing of journal entries for month-end close ensuring transactions are reasonable and in compliance with Business Processes, GAAP and FAR. Requires data/transaction retrieval/analysis from external sources. Verify accuracy of accounting documents & records. Updates, reconciles, and maintains accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing financial business transactions (i.e., expense vouchers, invoices, receipts, disbursements, accounts payable, receivable, etc.). Ensures all accounting processes are being conducted in accordance with established standards procedures, and applicable laws. Must be a hands-on accountant, being able to shift gears as needed.
