Senior Accountant (Remote)

Vontive is the embeddedmortgage platform that lets trusted consumer and financialservices brands offer investmentproperty loans while our software automates underwriting, risk management, and capitalmarkets execution. As a Senior Accountant at Vontive, you will transform the granular loanlevel data from multiple entities into timely, GAAPcompliant financials. Responsibilities • Be an integral part of the month-end close process by booking journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, performing flux analysis, and ensuring a timely close • Play a key role in implementing our new ERP (NetSuite) and driving other process improvements to streamline the close and build scalable solutions to support business growth • Support external audits and maintain compliance with internal controls • Prepare supporting documentation for various tax filings and own assigned regulatory reporting tasks • Assist with technical accounting research • Partner with the Data Engineering team to automate journal entries via ETL application • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for leadership Qualifications • Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required; CPA (active) preferred • 4+ years of accounting experience required; experience working on a high-performing accounting team and/or for fintechs is a plus • Proficiency in Excel is required; experience with BI tools and a basic understanding of SQL are nice to have • Prior experience working with NetSuite and/or Xero is preferred • Nice to have accounting experience in the areas of revenue recognition (ASC 606), servicing and transfers (ASC 860), consolidations (ASC 810), FVO (ASC 825), and/or equity and equity-linked financial instruments (ASC 480) • Clear, concise communicator who assumes best intent and thrives on feedback and continuous improvement Location San Antonio, TX (Hybrid) Target Compensation $80,000 - $100,000 per year Apply tot his job
