[Remote] Staff Accountant

They are seeking a Staff Accountant to support the improvement of accounting operations within their rapidly growing healthcare company. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations Support month-end close processes for cash, payroll, accruals, and operating expenses Perform bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining general ledger integrity Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Respond to internal and external audit requests and assist with annual financial statement audit Analyze fluctuations in financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy Partner with accounting management to improve processes using automation and technology, including AI tools for data validation, reconciliation, and reporting Support the implementation of process enhancements, including AI-assisted workflows and analytics dashboards Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 1–2 years of experience, ideally in both public and private accounting Ability to read and analyze financial statements and reports Proficient in Microsoft Excel; able to learn new systems Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Exposure to ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Interest in AI automation tools a plus CPA or parts passed preferred Benefits Information about benefits is available on the organization's Careers page.
