This position is fully remote and part-time. (30-40 hours during tax season and in off season time would be 10-15 hours a week.) This firm provides comprehensive services ranging from business licensing, monthly bookkeeping, payroll, and tax and advisory services. Responsibilities: • Conduct quality reviews of tax returns prepared by Enrolled Agents to ensure the highest standard of service. • Manage the tax department in close collaboration with operations, playing a key role in documenting SOPs, processes, and procedures. • Oversee the work of new Enrolled Agents (EAs), providing constructive feedback and training as needed. • Foster excellent client relationships through meetings and consistent communication. High levels of customer service are essential. • Ensure adherence to team and client deadlines. • Sign off on tax returns and necessary tax-related documents/forms. • Engage in light tax resolution activities, including acquiring transcripts, and mediating between the client and the IRS when required. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field • CPA or EA certification preferred • At least 7 years of experience in tax preparation and planning, with managerial experience being a plus. • Demonstrated experience in tax return preparation and review. • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate complex tax concepts in layman's terms. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Demonstrated history of problem-solving and critical thinking • Commitment to customer service excellence.
