What You’ll Do • Own the accounts payable process: receive, code, and process vendor invoices; prepare checks and ACH payments; and ensure on-time payments and accurate vendor records. • Maintain bookkeeping accuracy: post transactions, reconcile bank and vendor accounts, prepare month-end close support, and correct discrepancies. • Prepare supporting documentation: maintain organized digital records and audit-ready documentation for each transaction. • Use accounting tools daily: enter and review transactions in QuickBooks and maintain spreadsheets in Google Sheets; assist with Property Matrix or AppFolio workflows when needed. • Work independently: manage priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision while escalating issues promptly. • Communicate professionally: interact with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice questions and expedite payments. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. • Experience: Demonstrated accounts payable and bookkeeping experience; property management accounting experience preferred. • Technical skills: Proficient with QuickBooks and Google Sheets; familiarity with Property Matrix or AppFolio is highly desirable. • Attention to detail: Strong reconciliation skills and ability to spot discrepancies quickly. • Personal traits: Self-motivated, highly organized, reliable internet and home-office setup, and strong written and verbal English communication. • Work authorization: Must be able to work as an independent contractor and accept 1099 payment. Compensation and Incentives • Hourly pay: $17.00 per hour, paid consistently. • Monthly performance bonus: Up to $250 for meeting clearly defined performance goals. • Work arrangement: Remote, freelance contractor with flexible scheduling and autonomy. • Culture: Supportive, respectful team that values independent contributors and provides opportunities for professional growth.
