Job Overview: We're seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hybrid Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the construction services sector. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain reconciliations for general ledger accounts across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Efficiently manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, utilizing accounting software and advanced Excel capabilities. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, to inform business decisions. Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, adhering to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. Support budget preparation and financial forecasting initiatives, providing insights into trends and variances. Collaborate with external auditors during audit processes and establish internal controls to protect company assets. Assist in tax return preparations and necessary regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Contribute to financial analysis and special projects as required, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel capabilities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within the construction services industry. Experience in owner financial reporting is advantageous, with a strong understanding of GAAP standards and regulatory compliance.
