University of Rhode Island is hiring a Financial Analyst, Financial Strategy & Planning. The role involves gathering and analyzing complex financial data to support budget projections, modeling, forecasting, and improving fiscal processes. The analyst will participate in budget creation and control, produce financial reports, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance budget-related operations. Highlights • Conduct full lifecycle financial data analysis including exporting, manipulating, and interpreting data. • Support budget projections, modeling, forecasting, and trend analysis. • Participate in creation, compilation, control, and monitoring of the university's budgets and budget model. • Prepare and maintain financial reports for university budget components. • Provide training on university budgeting processes and assist in policy development. • Use Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, nested formulas) and enterprise resource planning systems (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, Banner). • Salary range $82,000 - $100,000 annually. • Must have a Master’s degree with 1 year financial analysis experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3 years progressive financial analysis experience in a complex organization. • Preferred experience includes use of statistical software (SAS, SPSS), business intelligence platforms (Power BI), and higher education financial operations. • Work remotely with required attendance at on-campus meetings.
