Job Description: (Must currently reside in location commutable to Columbia, MD.) · Analysts are responsible for processing routine to moderately complex transactions or reconcilements relating to loan or security payments, performing credit risk management duties for select portfolios, and processing fundings and monthly/quarterly verifications for Advance Trust Facilities. · Duties include: Providing remittance and correction information to servicers; Monitoring of pooled loans to determine non-compliance; Communication of information to investors and servicers; Evaluate servicer performance and review servicer reports to ensure accuracy of data represented and compliance with stated agreements, account balances, new advance balances, receivables balances, report upload times, number of fundings, etc.; Interacting with other departments as needed; Research and interpret all controlling legal documents as issues arise with collateral or bond payments; Creating End-User Computing Tools (EUCTs such as Excel spreadsheets, code/instructions for Access databases, etc.) at deal inception by translating terms in legal contracts to formulas, as well as managing and developing the EUCTs throughout the life of the deal; Conduct internal processes by maintaining a working knowledge of their area of expertise and duties that include Collateral, Securities, Default or Trust Administration; Follow established procedures and use appropriate EUCTs for all processes; Identify and communicate enhancements or process improvements that are relevant across individual facilities; Participating in system enhancements by attending user group and individual testing. This is a contract to hire position AND must be commutable to Columbia, MD. Required Qualifications: · 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial service, accounting, or analytical analysis; or a BS/BA degree or higher; or 2+ years of military experience Desired Qualifications: · Basic Microsoft Office skills, with advanced skills in Excel · Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information · Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy · Strong math skills · Customer service focus with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend customer issues/needs, and recommend solutions · Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills · A BS/BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, accounting, finance, or other business related field · Basic Microsoft Access skills · Ability to read and interpret legal documents · Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines · Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment Other Desired Qualifications: · Default/Servicing experience · Corporate Trust experience Apply Job!
