Experienced Remote Bookkeeper (Project-Based) – QuickBooks Online Expert

Position Overview As a contractor bookkeeper, you will oversee financial transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for multiple clients. The ideal candidate has extensive QuickBooks Online experience, understands best bookkeeping practices, and is comfortable handling tasks with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate financial records and perform full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients. • Categorize transactions and reconcile bank/credit card accounts to ensure financial accuracy. • Prepare and review financial statements, profit & loss reports, and balance sheets. • Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing as needed. • Assist with sales tax filings and other compliance-related reporting as needed. • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial data and clarify transactions. • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data. • Collaborate with the accounting and tax team to support tax preparation and financial planning. • Qualifications & Skills • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in an accounting firm or managing multiple clients. • Expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO Certification preferred). • Strong understanding of GAAP and bookkeeping best practices. • Experience with bank reconciliations, journal entries, and adjusting entries. • Knowledge of payroll processing and sales tax reporting is a plus. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple clients efficiently. • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive mindset. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
