Are you a passionate and experienced accounting professional eager to make a difference? YourCFO is seeking a full-time, remote Controller/Accounting Manager with nonprofit experience to partner with our amazing nonprofit clients. In this dynamic role, you'll be a vital part of their success by providing expert guidance and support. What you'll do: · Lead the charge: You will be the Client Relationship Manager and provide expert technical oversight, ensuring efficient and effective accounting processes and seamless month-end/year-end closings. · Be a champion for the client : As the primary point of contact with the client, you will build a trusted relationship with them, while explaining and guiding them through accurate and timely financial reporting. · Provide strategic financial planning: Design and manage annual budgets, offering insightful recommendations to optimize resource allocation. · Master the client's accounting systems: Exerecise proficiency in utilizing QuickBooks Online, managing bill payments, and skillfully navigating various financial platforms. · Become the client's "Grant Guru": Advise the client on grant spending, preparation of projections, and the timely filing of reports to maximize their impact. · Lead and participate in a positive and cohesive Team: Collaborate with YourCFO colleagues and the client, mentor and train others, and foster a supportive and trustworthy environment. What you'll bring: · Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required) · 3-5 years' experience in Nonprofit Accounting with a portion or all of your time spent in a Controller-level role (required). · Proven expertise with QuickBooks Online and Excel (required). · Strong analytical skills, impeccable attention to detail, and exceptional problem-solving abilities ---- you'll be a trusted advisor to our clients. · Outstanding, effective communication and interpersonal skills, which will result in high-quality service to our clients. · The ability to juggle multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and a positive, helpful attitude. · Experience with small business accounting (a plus). · A passion for working with nonprofits and making a meaningful impact!
