LAFAYETTE, LA – DSW – (Sunday-Monday-Friday & Saturday) OVERNIGHT SHIFTS (8pm to 8am) FULL JOB DESCRIPTION: @Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide overnight care (Sun-Mon-Fri & Sat) to assist a male consumer with daily living task. The duties include light housekeeping, monitoring consumer, rotating and turning consumer at night. The consumer is wheelchair bound and needs full assistance. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with pets, as the consumer has animals. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect. BENEFITS: 1. Holiday Pay when office is closed. 2. Years of Service Award QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older. 2. Valid Driver’s License or ID 3. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan 4. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record 5. Commitment to excellent client care 6.
