Our team seeks a dynamic, relationship-focused Battery & Electrical Technical Support Specialist to help us scale with our customers’ needs.

Our customers require your help in using our products to enhance their lives. You would dedicate your entire time to supporting Dakota Lithium’s technical support and customer service efforts.
The Team:
You would report directly to your remote team manager and be part of a quickly growing remote-based technical support team focused on superior customer service.
Who You Are:
For this fully remote position, we need someone who is proactive, can prioritize, and executes tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who is action-oriented, decisive, and attentive to detail.
Desired Qualities:
• You enjoy helping people solve their problems directly – this is the most critical quality to possess.
• Communicate comfortably with customers via phone, email, and social media. The workload is entirely computer-based and virtual.
• You should have quality customer service experience, ideally in customer-facing roles related to electricity or electronics. Experience with batteries or DC electrical systems is a big plus.
• You have a passion for renewable energy and experience with off-grid electrical systems or solar power, or you have an interest and foundational skills in electricity and electronics to learn and gain expertise in the technology.
• It is important to have a practical understanding of DC (Direct Current) electrical circuits, a basic understanding of how batteries function in a DC circuit, and some understanding of basic electrical theory.
• The ability to learn independently, problem-solve, and seek help effectively.
• Effective & responsive time management. You naturally keep track of your daily achievements and find satisfaction in completing tasks on your to-do list.
• You possess strong interpersonal skills and can remain patient and empathetic while assisting customers who need help resolving their issues.
• You are a dedicated team player who enjoys collaborating with teammates and contributing to a close-knit team.
• You have experience with CRM platforms, helpdesk/ticketing platforms, and e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Ordoro, and Shopify, and are willing to learn our e-commerce platforms.
Your Job Duties:
• Provide customer support through inbound phone, email, and social media channels. Assist customers with issues related to our batteries, off-grid power systems, and general product inquiries.
• Handle outbound follow-ups regarding complaints or service issues that our customers may have post-purchase. You will have your own assigned workload.
• You will help other teammates who might have different electrical knowledge than you do.
• Develop expertise in electrical systems and progress to becoming a trainer, mentor, or team leader for new staff.
Compensation & Hours:
• Starting pay: $17-21 per hour (DOE) with potential for annual growth.
• 35-40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility.
• 1-hour total of paid break time per day, no need to clock out mid-day.
