Accounting Assistant (w/ QuickBooks)

Accounting / Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Accounting Assistant (w/ QuickBooks) Up to $48,000 to start plus full benefits As Accounting Assistant, you will: - Join a manufacturer of packaging products - Administer Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes - Utilize QuickBooks Software - Create, enter, process and distribute customer billings - Apply received payments to customer accounts - Upload supporting documentation to the database - Monitor customer account status' and account agings - Reach out to customers with past due or delinquent accounts - Match supplier invoices against purchase orders and packing slips - Enter, process and distribute supplier payments - Prepare journal entries and general ledger entries - Assist with inventory accounting processes - Reconcile/balance accounts - Identify, research and resolve errors, omissions and discrepancies - Escalate complex issues as necessary - Facilitate month end close and year end close processes - Run routine and special reports - Conduct routine and special analysis - Perform additional document review, document control and document processing activities - Maintain manual and electronic file systems - Handle special projects - Perform other duties as assigned An ideal candidate profile will include: - Accounts Receivable experience - Accounts Payable experience - QuickBooks experience/proficiency With: - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook - Accurate Data Entry skills - A High School Diploma or Equivalent Pluses: +++ Microsoft Teams 365 experience +++ An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Near West Suburbs of Chicago - Cicero, IL Please submit your resume by using the Apply Now feature.
