ACCOUNTANT NIGHT SHIFT

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a thorough understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. The Accountant will work closely with various departments to manage accounts payable, perform general ledger reconciliations, and assist in tax preparation. Responsibilities • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports. • Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment approvals. • Assist in tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations. • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial performance and provide insights. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations as required. • Utilize accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, or Quicken for efficient record-keeping. • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in all accounting practices. Skills • Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles. • Proficiency in accounting software (BUSY, TALLY) is preferred. • Experience with general ledger reconciliation processes. • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Familiarity with private equity accounting practices is a plus. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
