Overview We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and analysis, along with proficiency in accounting software and GAAP principles. Key Responsibilities 1. **Financial Management: Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Oversee bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and general ledger entries. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies. 2. **Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assist in creating budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports. Provide financial insights to management to support decision-making. 3. **Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate and payroll taxes. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure timely implementation. 4. **Audits and Internal Controls: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for audits. Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets. Identify areas for process improvement and recommend best practices. 5. **Software and Technology: Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) to maintain financial records. Ensure accurate integration of data between accounting and other business systems. 6. **Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other applicable standards. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions, invoices, and receipts. Qualifications 1. **Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required 2. **Experience: 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or IT/ITES environment. Proven expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and budgeting. 3. **Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, for financial analysis. 4. **Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
